Gary Player shares his memories from over 5 decades of playing in The Masters

This week it's a Special Masters Preview edition of Next on the Tee with Chris Mascaro with special guest PGA Tour legend, 9 time major champion and 3 times Masters Champion Gary Player.

Hear Gary Player talking about spending over a year of his life on the grounds of Augusta National. We talked in detail about his 3 victories there in 1961, 1974 and 1978. He also shared his memories of meeting Bobby Jones, what Clifford Roberts was like, the pride he felt in becoming the oldest champion at the time at age 42 following his win in 1978, and what goes through his mind as he turns off Washington Road and walks up Magnolia Lane. He also shared who his favorites are to win this year's tournament.

Brady Riggs is a Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and over the last 10 years he's published over 100 article in Golf Magazine and Golf Tip Magazine where he's a Senior Editor. He individually instructs members of the PGA Tour, Champions Tour, Canadian Tour, Division 1 college players and top amateurs. Hear some of his best tips to lower your score plus how to get rid of back pain in your swing.

Avery Zweig has won over 100 tournament in Junior Golf and she's only 9 years old. She's set the scoring record in North Texas Junior PGA, a tour that Jordan Spieth, Brittany Lang and Hunter Maham played on as juniors.She's the #1 ranked player in the world for the high school graduating class of 2025. She made a double eagle at age 7 and set the North Texas Junior PGA scoring record of -8 under Par at age 8. She will be competing at this year's Drive, Chip and Putt Contest at Augusta National.

Ben Wright, Dan Quinn & Shaun Micheel

This week Next on the Tee with Chris Mascaro are : Broadcasting legend Ben Wright, former NHL star turned caddie and Celebrity Tour player Dan Quinn, and 2003 PGA Champion Shaun Micheel.

Ben Wright broadcast golf tournaments for CBS sports for over 20 years and was the voice from the tower over the 15th green at the Masters. We'll talk to him about his 60 year friendship with Gary Player plus what it was like calling two of the greatest Masters of all-time, Jack Nicklaus' wins in 1975 and 1986.

Dan Quinn played in the NHL from 1983-1997. After retiring from hockey he began playing golf on the celebrity tour and caddying for some of the top pros on the PGA Tour. He's been on the bag for John Daly at the 2000 US Open and witnessed first hand one of Daly's biggest meltdowns on the 18th hole in the first round. He's caddied for Ernie Els, and most recently for Joost Luiten. We'll  hear his stories from inside the ropes plus what he's got coming up this season. 

Shaun Micheel won the 2003 PGA Championship. I'll catch up with Shaun as he prepares to get his game into shape for the 2016 season. I'll also get Shaun's insights how hard it is to stay on top once you get there plus dealing with social media when it's unkind.

This week on Next on the Tee with Chris Mascaro my guest are: PGA Master Professional and Master of Clinical Psychology Alison Curdt plus PGA Hall of Famer Tony Jacklin.

Alison Curdt is one of only 11 women to be recognized as a PGA Master Professional. She was also recently named National Teacher of the Year. Hear her talk about that plus getting the opportunity to share her tips with Michael Breed on The Golf Fix which airs on The Golf Channel. Plus she shares a few tips with us to help save a stroke our 2 of our scores this weekend.

Tony Jacklin won the Open Championship in 1969 and the US Open in 1970. He won 4 times on the PGA Tour, 8 times on the European Tour and twice on the Champions Tour. He captained 3 victorious Ryder Cup Teams and was involved in one of the most famous moments in Ryder Cup history, “The Concession” when Jack Nicklaus conceded Jacklin’s 2 foot putt on the 18th hole to halve their match. What was going through his mind when that happened plus what was it like as an Englishmen to win and hold the Claret Jug? He tells us about all of that and more.

Missie Berteotti, Dave Stockton Jr., Debbie O'Connell & Tim Hurja

This week Next on the Tee with Chris Mascaro are: LPGA Pro Missie Berteotti, PGA Pro Dave Stockton Jr., Top 50 Instructor Debbie O'Connell and PGA Pro Tim Hurja.

Missie Berteotti is making her 4th visit this week. She played on the LPGA Tour for 14 years and won over a million dollars on Tour. She won the 1993 Ping/Welch's Championship plus multiple Top 10 finishes including the 1988 LPGA Championship and US Open. She's one of the top instructors in golf. We'll talk more about her amazing career plus get some about the mental side of the game. 

Dave Stockton Jr., is also a multiple time guest. He too had a lot of success out on Tour. We'll get this thoughts on what's to come in the 2016 season plus some tips on how to improve our putting stroke and our mental approach around the greens. 

Debbie O'Connell will make it a trio of great friends joining on this episode. Debbie is also becoming a regular on The Golf Channel, sharing tips on the short game plus how to remain positive out on the course. 

Tim Hurja works with Tony Robbins so we talk about golf strategy and how we can get peak performance out of ourselves and every day...I hope you enjoy today's show as much as I enjoy doing it.
