Had so much fun closing out 2018 with Dr. Bob Jones IV, grandson of Bobby Jones and Actor turned ESPN Radio Host Matthew Laurance on this final 2018 edition of Next on the Tee Golf Podcast.
Doc and I looked back at the moments that stuck out to him in 2018 and if we're privileged to talk again next year at this time, what he'd like to be able to say happened in 2019. Doc also talked about the new Bobby Jones Golf Complex in Atlanta that opened in November which features a unique 9 hole reversible design. He also shared what the holidays were like in the Jones family when he was growing up, and the pressure his grandfather dealt with while people bet everything they had on him winning golf tournaments during the height on the depression.
Matthew talked about why he won't share or let anyone touch his stash of XXIO golf balls. We also talked about the '86 Masters, I as a Jack Nicklaus fan believe that is the greatest golf tournament ever. Matthew as a fan of Seve Ballesteros fan had some different emotions about it and he talks about that. Matthew played in numerous celebrity golf tournaments and he shares who the celebrities or athletes were that told the best stories and which stories were his favorites to share. He also shared his favorite moments from 2018 and what he'd like to see happen in 2019.

Tom Patri talked about the importance for all of us to get properly fit for our golf clubs; it isn't just for better players. He also shared tips for how to continue to play good golf after 50, 60, or 70 and the Links to Freedom program he's doing for our Military personnel and Veterans.
Joe Assell shared the story of where the idea for GolfTec came from and how he and his business partner got it off the ground. Today they are the largest employer of PGA Professionals and conduct over a million lessons worldwide. Joe also talked about how you can come in and their Instructors can start to fix swing flaws after seeing only 2 swings. Their lessons are all video taped and available online so you can access and review them anytime from any device.
