Top Instructor Rob Strano goes off on the USGA and how they handled the US Open and the set up of Shinnecock Hills. He talks about how they are an amateur organization trying to run a professional event and keep failing miserably. He believes they should answer to a review board because today, they don't answer to anyone; so no one is accountable when things go wrong like they have in so many cases over the last 4-5 years. Hear his comments and suggestions for what needs to be done so it doesn't happen again next year at Pebble Beach.

We talked about his design philosophy, his unique bunker designs and the impact the distance golf balls are flying are having on course design on this segment of Next on the Tee. 

Top 100 Instructor Tom Patri joins me from Shinnecock Hills. Tom grew up on Long Island and has played the course numerous times. He shared his insights on the course conditions and set up plus the strategy for how to play certain holes and who he thinks will be on top of the leaderboard come Sunday afternoon.

Top 40 Under 40 Instructor Travis Fulton breaks down the field at the US Open plus shares his insights on Jordan Spieth's putting issues, Bryson DeChambeau's technique plus shares a playing lesson on this segment of Next on the Tee.

PGA Tour Pro Zack Sucher shares his memories of playing college golf at UAB, his wins at the 2007 Shaol Creek Intercollegiate Champion and the 2008 Conference USA Championship. Zack Sucher - Zack won 7 tournaments while playing in college at UAB including the 2007 Shoal Creek Intercollegiate Championship and the 2008 Conference USA Championship. Hear his memories from winning those tournaments plus his 2014 win at the Midwest Classic on the Web.com Tour. He also shared his insights on the US Open and memories playing at Shinnecock Hills.
Travis Fulton - Travis helped breakdown the field at the US Open and who he expects to be on the leaderboard come late Sunday afternoon. Travis also talked about Bryson DeChambeau's technique, how he would play the Par 3 16th hole at Shinnecock, what's going on with Jordan Spieth's putting, plus he shared a playing lesson for how to handle a short pitch shot over water or a bunker.
Tom Patri - Tom is helping to run the practice facility this week at Shinnecok Hills. He gave us a rundown of the course conditions and what type of player he thinks will win this week. He also gave us a handful of players to watch out for and what the winning the score will be.

Top 100 Instructor Tom Patri joins me on this segment of Next on the Tee. Tom grew up near Shinnecock Hills and snuck onto the property to play as a kid. He is back on Long Island preparing to help run the practice facility there next week. He shares his first hand knowledge of the course, what players will need to do to be successful there, why Lee Trevino once called the 160 yard par 3 11th hole the shortest par 5 in golf and why simply bombing the ball off the tee won't be successful there.
