On this edition of Next on the Tee my guests are: Ben Hogan Golf Company CEO Scott White and Dr. Bob Jones IV, Grandson of Bobby Jones.
Scott White - Scott took us through how the brand has emerged from bankruptcy and their new factory to the consumer business model which has cut cost out of their business and results in huge savings for consumers. We talked about the construction and technology in their PTx and Fort Worth irons, their TK wedges as well as ther hybrids. He also gave us peak into what they are developing for 2018.
Dr. Bob Jones IV - Doc talked about his recent trip to St. Andrews including a walking tour of the Old Course. He talked about the legend that his Grandfather once tore up his scorecard after visiting the Hill Bunker on the 11th hole. We talked about how incredibly deep the Hell Bunker is on 17, as well as what it feels like as you walk a course that every legend of the has played. Doc is a Sports Psychologist so we discussed tips for dealing with pressure during a tournament and how we can help our junior golfers deal with playing in front of a crowd for the first time.
