Top Instructor Tom Patri, former President of HBO Sports & now Head of his own Production Company Ross Greenburg, and the CEO of TaylorMade Golf David Abeles Join Me...
TP shares a special guest, one of his junior players known affectionately as Jack "The Whack". We hear about the great progress Jack is making including winning a couple of tournaments at the end of last year. Tom also shares his thoughts on Jon Rahm becoming the #1 player in the world and the computer ranking system. We also talk about why Jack Nicklaus is completely tearing down the Muirfield Village Golf Course now that the tournament is over and we get a few short game tips from him as well.
Ross Greenburg talks about the 1962 US Open documentary he did for the USGA and how it was a dream come true doing a respective of that tournament with Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. He also told us about what his first visit was like to Augusta National and the feature film and documentary he did on the 1980 US Hockey team.
David Abeles shared the pride he has in the brand's players and the big win Jon Rahm had at The Memorial tournament, becoming the #1 player in the world. He reacted to my statement regarding the media being focused on the wrong/negative story, the ball moving prior to Rahm's chip shot on #16, instead of his great victory. He also talked about the energy and excitement around their young players: Rahm, Morikawa, and Matt Wolffe.
